Personal summary
My prior work experiences took place in quick-paced and professional development focused environments with opportunities for executive leadership, such as: a UI / UX designer at a startup, a web designer at a charity, a web designer / developer at a digital media development studio, and volunteering as a graphic designer / design consultant at a Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron. At university, I’ve also been involved with the school magazine as the creative direction executive leader. These positions provided me with valuable skills such as working with flexibility and under strict deadlines, leading teams, collaborating with others, and problem solving while working towards a mutual goal. They also helped me shape personal skills including time management, responsibility, self-regulation, and organization. In gaining these new skills, I've also become a more passionate, hard-working, knowledgable, and most of all curious designer, which led me to seek this internship opportunity. As a student, I would be excited to learn hands-on in the field, and to pursue new opportunities where I can expand my learning. I believe that with my motivation to work and learn, as well as my design background and skills, I can face problem-solving challenges and key objectives with confidence.
