I am a CPA, C.A. and have held numerous financial positions including Assistant controller to Chief Financial Officer in both public and private companies. While with the public companies, in addition to carrying out the statutory reporting, I was also responsible for interacting with the respective members of the Board of Directors providing them with the necessary financial information to allow them to make informed decisions. In addition to the above, I have also completed contract CFO positions with two not-for-profit organizations, Brain Canada and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. While performing these mandates, I was instrumental in establishing cash projection models thereby improving cash flows, established internal controls, budgeting, scorecard reporting, and operational efficiencies. I have just completed 8 months with an internet “app” start up company in Montreal as Director of Finance. In addition to the clean up required to the accounting records, I was able to complete the 2019 audit in 6 weeks, as to 6 months for the 2018 audit as well as reduce the cost from $150,000 to $50,000! I am a team player and throughout my career I have strived to provide leadership and respect amongst all my employees. Turnover of my staff wherever I have worked has been negligible. I believe I possess a wealth of financial experience having worked in several industries and each having their challenges. I can relocate as required and would be available to commence immediately.
