Must Haves:

  • 10+ years of project management on enterprise projects, managing scope, risk, resources, schedules, and costs
  • Experience with Oracle Database, Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux), Windows Server, WebLogic, Microsoft IIS Web/Application Servers, and Mainframe applications
Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers with statements, resource planning, status reporting, and monitoring deliverables
  • Track project change requests and ensure all impacts are identified and estimates are reasonable
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, gather requirements, and document project plans
  • Create and maintain project schedules using Planview
  • Coordinate project meetings, issue agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items
  • Generate and publish project status reports, including schedules, milestones, dependencies, issues, risks, and financials
  • Prepare project presentations and communications
  • Document compliance reports and manage budgets and expenditures
  • Support program/project orientation for new staff and consultants
  • Review expenses and reconcile against budget
  • Develop quality management, change management, issues and risk management plans, communication plan, and project charters
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure standards are followed
  • Ensure timely communication with stakeholders
  • Coordinate with ITS Project Managers as required
  • Perform release management tasks related to maintenance deliverables
Skill Set Requirements:

  • Program and Project Management
  • Managing multiple concurrent tasks in a multi-tiered application development environment
  • Selecting and establishing project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance requirements v3.2.1
  • Experience working on PCI Compliance projects
  • Experience conducting pre-site PCI Compliance audits within Ontario Government
  • Working with Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) for PCI Compliance
  • Developing relationships with high-level stakeholders
  • Establishing/managing information resource management functions
  • Governance, change management, and implementation activities for large IT projects
  • Structured methodologies for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of support services
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, oral and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • OPS Architecture standards and Enterprise Architecture Review process
  • Technical Architecture, OPS gating, and checkpoint processes
  • Planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling IT project schedules, plans, and costs
  • Identifying issues/risks and providing mitigation strategies
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress using Planview, SharePoint, and Visual Process
  • Maintaining a central repository of project schedules, plans, reporting, and deliverables
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • OPS Unified I&IT Project Methodology (UPM) and project gating processes
  • Producing business documents (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Project
  • Experience with Ministry of Transportation, Transportation Safety Division architecture applications, database, and systems
Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

  1. Project Management and Technical Documentation (45%):

    • 10+ years of project management on enterprise projects
    • 10+ years of experience in creating project documentation
    • Recommending revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction for published material, existing guides, documentation, and framework
  2. Technical Knowledge (25%):

    • Knowledge and experience with I&IT Project management frameworks
    • Experience with Oracle Database, Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux), Windows Server, WebLogic, Microsoft IIS Web/Application Servers, and Mainframe applications
  3. Tools and Process (25%):

    • Use of tools for creating, distributing, and maintaining project documentation
    • Completing cost-benefit analysis
  4. Public Sector Experience (5%):

    • Experience working with Ontario Public Service policies and procedures (asset)
