Research Assistant University of Ottawa (Extreme Photonics Lab), Ottawa, ON May 2019 - August 2019 • Conducted flow simulations to map the properties of inlet gas cells in vacuum systems, to inform designs of such systems. • Built an automated robot for moving payloads/components in the lab at a fast and precise speed. • Designed large piping assemblies that controlled the flow of gas to various vacuum/fibre chamber systems. Plant Engineer’s Assistant Evonik Industries AG, Morrisburg, ON September 2018 – December 2018 • Modernized the plant process line and updated the associated P&IDs by implementing an automated valve system, replacing the previous manual system, which improved efficiency and reduce manpower and cost. • Worked with SAP to document equipments and to create various procedures and maintenance plans. • Performed a sampling study on the cause of the unusually high chlorine level in various parts on the plant water line. Manufacturing and Structural Test Analyst Gastops Ltd., Ottawa, ON January 2018 – April 2018 • Performed numerous tests, such as vibration, thermal, software, and structural testing on sensors for aircraft engine and performed in-depth analysis on the results. • Conducted several comprehensive research, including looking into solutions for better detecting metallic wear in lubricant oil for aircraft engines in order to prevent machine failure. • Worked with the production and manufacturing divisions to increase their process efficiency and product quality.
