Freelance FPGA Engineer (Xilinx)

Location: Remote / Onsite (flexible)
Job Type: Freelance/Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer with strong expertise in Xilinx technologies for an exciting freelance project. You will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of FPGA solutions, contributing to cutting-edge applications across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop FPGA solutions using Xilinx platforms (e.g., Virtex, Zynq, Spartan)
Implement and optimize VHDL/Verilog code for high-performance applications
Collaborate on system architecture design and integrate FPGA solutions with hardware and software components
Perform simulation, testing, and debugging of FPGA designs to ensure reliability and performance
Optimize resource utilization and timing closure in FPGA designs
Document design processes, create test plans, and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:
Proven experience in FPGA development, specifically with Xilinx tools (Vivado, ISE)
Strong knowledge of VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog
Experience with FPGA simulation and verification tools (e.g., ModelSim, Questa)
Proficiency in hardware/software integration, including board bring-up and interfacing with peripherals
Strong understanding of timing analysis, clock domains, and resource optimization
Experience in high-speed I/O, DSP, or custom hardware accelerators is a plus
Ability to work independently and solve complex technical challenges
