Role Summary

The Operations Coordinator will lead and support the operational functions and performance in the area, optimizing resources for maximum productivity at minimal cost. This role involves weekly analysis, data provision for decision-making, and ensuring alignment with safety, manufacturing, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety: Promote a zero-incident safety culture and manage local and regional safety initiatives.
  • HR: Develop, motivate, and train staff to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Operations: Develop and track production processes to meet KPIs, manage inventories, and support operational action plans.
  • Financial: Identify cost reduction opportunities, forecast profitability, and manage operational costs.
  • Capital Projects: Monitor and report on capital project status.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure adequate inventory levels and support logistics and quality departments.
  • Land and Environment: Ensure compliance with Lafarge and regulatory guidelines, manage sustainable mining plans, and mitigate environmental impact.
  • Community Relations: Foster relationships through local activities and partnerships.
Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer applications.
  • Bilingual in English and French preferred.
