Laboratory Team Lead

The Laboratory Team Lead is an intermediate role in the laboratory. The position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of laboratory station operations. This position is given direction from the Lab Supervisor and/or Manager and provides direction to lab staff.

Responsibilities:

Perform Laboratory Technician Duties as required
Ability to perform and mentor on all aspects of Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures and provide technical assistance for the lab or station
Communicate lab daily activities and recommendation for improvement to Lab management
Maintain lab instrumentation
Assist in root cause analysis and provide recommendation to Lab Management
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Technical Diploma or degree in Science required
Experience in fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement is essential
3+years hands on laboratory experience in a senior role
Ability to problem solve, coach, and organize
Knowledge of full laboratory processes
Advanced Computer Skills
Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment:

This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
