Our Client is looking for a part time (2-3 days/week) SAP Project/Deployment Manager for an onsite role in Vancouver.

Start Date: September 2024

End Date: May 2025

Work Model: Part time. 2-3 days per week

Location: Vancouver/Onsite

Company Overview

Our Danish pharmaceutical customer is looking to integrate their Canadian acquisition, a small pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Vancouver. The roll-out will integrate the Canadian subsidiary into the SAP S/4 HANA solution running in the mother company.

They will get a copy of the Danish setup (copy DK company code) and will have to adapt to this setup except for local legal and physical requirements.

The DK solution is GxP validated and well documented.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP Deployment Manager to lead this rollout and be the link to the main project team in Denmark. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and broad functional background and understanding and be an experienced SAP project manager. Solid understanding of Canadian legal requirements will be a plus. Experience from rollouts to Canada (from other countries) will also be a big plus.

Key Responsibilities

 

Lead the local deployment of SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with global standards and processes
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress to both local and global leadership
Coordinate with the global project team to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and system integration
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the deployment
Oversee data migration, system testing, and user acceptance procedures as well as coordinate local cutover management
Manage local resources and coordinate with external consultants as needed
Ensure compliance with Canadian regulations and reporting requirements
Support local change management and user adoption initiatives
Provide go-live and hypercare support and manage the transition to operations and be the link to the global team

 
Qualifications:

 

5+ years of experience in SAP project management or deployment of global solution
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA in general
Strong background as a functional consultant in logistics and/or Finance
Experience with roll-out projects
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred understanding how to work in GxP regulated environment
Fluency in English
