Description et exigences de la tâche
- Lead complex design and programming activities.
- Develop and enforce programming standards.
- Analyze requirements and produce design documents.
- Design, code, and debug in various software languages.
- Perform testing and quality assurance, including creating test cases and documenting results.
- Integrate software within existing systems.
- Provide status updates on development progress and issues impacting progress.
- Document system problems, suggest solutions, and perform code fixes.
- Supervise design and programming activities and follow up on efforts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to solve problems.
- Train, coach, and guide others in areas of specialization.
- Participate in the evaluation of new technologies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, customers, and internal service providers.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of commitments to internal and external customers.
- May lead a workgroup or project team, involving technical and support staff.
- Participate in project management aspects and review work delivered by external suppliers.
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in RPG, CL, ILE, SQLRPGLE, DB2/400, SDA, RLU, SEU, DBU, DFU, etc.
- 5+ years of experience in AS400 (iSeries) RPG development.
- Skills:
- Bilingual in French and English with strong communication skills.
- Expertise in high-level design, development, and testing processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of API, REST services (an asset).
- Attributes: Ability to work in a team and independently, follow development processes, and provide production support, including after-hours work or on-call rotation.
