For our client we are searching for a freelancer for Compensation & Benefits (m/f/d).

General Data:
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 - 12 Months
Workload: 100% (5 days per week)

Tasks:
Group Salary Structure Development:
• Design, implement, and manage the group salary structure, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and competitive market positioning.
• Regularly review and update salary bands and pay scales to reflect market trends, internal equity, and organizational changes.
• Collaborate with HR and senior management to ensure salary structures are applied consistently across all regions.
International Benefits Management:
• Develop and manage international benefits programs, including health, retirement, and welfare plans, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and aligned with local regulations.
• Oversee the administration of global benefits, working closely with local HR teams to ensure smooth implementation and management.
• Implement an aligned groupwide benefits portfolio across Europe, ensuring consistency in offerings while adapting to local market conditions and legal requirements.
Salary Benchmarking:
• Conduct regular salary benchmarking studies to ensure the company’s compensation packages are competitive within the industry and across regions.
• Analyze market data and trends to make informed recommendations on salary adjustments and pay strategies.
• Work with external consultants and vendors as necessary to obtain accurate and up-to-date market data.
Performance-Based Compensation:
• Design and manage performance-based compensation programs, including annual bonuses, sales incentives, and other variable pay structures.
• Collaborate with HR and management teams to align performance metrics with business objectives and ensure that performance-based pay effectively motivates and rewards employees.
Competency-Based Compensation Framework:
• Collaborate with our HR teams to develop and implement a competency-based compensation framework that aligns employee skills and competencies with compensation levels.
• Ensure the framework supports career progression, promotes skill development, and is integrated with the overall compensation strategy.
Expatriate Compensation & Benefits:
• Design and manage compensation and benefits packages for expatriates, including salary adjustments, cost of living allowances, housing, and relocation support.
• Ensure expatriate packages are competitive and compliant with both home and host country regulations.
• Provide support and guidance to expatriates on compensation and benefits-related matters.
Long-Term Incentives:
• Develop and manage long-term incentive programs, such as stock options, restricted stock units, and deferred compensation plans.
• Ensure these programs are competitive and aligned with the company’s long-term strategic goals.
• Communicate the value and structure of long-term incentives to employees to ensure understanding and engagement.

Must-Haves:
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compensation and benefits management, with a strong focus on international compensation.
• Proven experience working with German-headquartered companies, especially those operating in Europe.
• Experience in managing compensation and benefits for expatriates, including designing and administering expat packages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make strategic recommendations.
• Excellent understanding of international compensation and benefits trends, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in salary benchmarking tools and compensation management software.
