Description:
Reporting to the Team Lead, Joint Venture the successful candidate for this position will provide contract analyst and data integrity support to the portfolio of assets within the broader Land & JV organization. This position will require the flexibility to draft, analyze, interpret, implement, and administer all types of Joint Venture agreements, in addition to providing support functions to the larger Business Development & JV Services group.
This is a six-month contract position located in our downtown Calgary office.
Key Responsibilities:
•Drafting all types of JV agreements to document and execute on commercial and business development opportunities
•Review and execute agreement amendments, revisions, ownership changes, fee changes, obligations, contact/address changes, etc.;
•Creation and maintenance of cost centers to manage revenue, ownership, throughput, contract operating and other unique business requirements
•Willingness to engage, support and collaborate with other stakeholder groups including operations, engineering, production & joint venture accounting, land, legal, audit, A&D, EQ, etc.
•Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and/or disputes in a timely fashion.
•Proactively manage third party tie-in activities and support engineering from initiation to execution
•Run and analyze reports to identify data gaps, discrepancies or areas for improvement within systems, trackers and other databases
•Support initiatives to review, create, and standardize processes and procedures for data and other critical business activities
•Maintain a high data standard and improve integrity of the data within agreement repositories and systems.
Qualifications:
•Completion of the PJVA Petroleum Joint Venture Analyst & Petroleum Joint Venture Administrator Certificates preferred
•Undergraduate degree in business, commerce, or similar disciplines is considered an asset.
•5-7 years of relevant experience in a joint venture role preferred
•Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment, managing multiple tasks at times often with conflicting priorities.
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically when making decisions or recommendations.
•Proven ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of business and both internal and external stakeholders.
•Strong analytical skills to identify variances, gaps, trends, patterns or efficiencies in both data and process
•Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, CS Land, StackDX, Accumap and Energylink is preferred.
