Job Purpose:
To provide patient care with the use of a competent nursing process in the hospital setting. Manage the healthcare and nursing team in providing safe practice and competence.
Location: Ontario
Qualifications:
· Nursing Diploma from an accredited college.
· Registration with the CNO.
· Proof of BCLS.
· Commitment to maintaining practice standards outlined by the CNO.
· Provide Nursing assessment, contribute to care plan development, goal-oriented treatment interventions, patient and family education, and support to address medical, cognitive, emotional, and self-care needs.
· Proven ability to assume leadership/charge nurse role. Motivation to demonstrate patient assessment, patient education, and related clinical specialties.
· Excellent assessment skills and knowledge of care plans.
· Effective problem-solving skills, prioritization, time management, and mentoring skills.
· Excellent written and verbal skills.
· Promote a family-centered care environment.
· Demonstrate ability to perform appropriately in emergency situations.
· Ability to lift, turn, and transfer patients manually with the assistance of mechanical aids.
Must haves:
TB test (within 6 months to 1 year)
Vulnerable Sector Screening (Within a year)
Valid CPR/ACLS/BLS certificate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80.00-$85.00 per hour
