Overview:
The Stouffville Plant Manager will lead the day to day management of the site which is one of our leading Sand and Gravel operations in Eastern Canada. This role is responsible to ensure top performance in safety, environmental, production, and distribution activities. The responsibilities also include the development, leadership and management all site employees. The Plant Manager will ensure alignment with all functional groups including: safety, environment, land, manufacturing and supply chain to drive a consistent process and standard approach. The Plant Manager is responsible to engage with our neighbours and local communities supporting our corporate and social responsibility activities ensuring we are viewed as a valued member of the industry and local community.

Works Closely with the other Plant Managers to ensure consistency and alignment of operational priorities across the Market Area
Works closely with the ECAN Manufacturing Group to ensure manufacturing best practices and tools are fully utilized across the market area
Works closely with the Safety Group to develop and maintain a culture of safety
Works closely with the Land and Environmental Manager to ensure all government and the company Guidelines are met or exceeded
Works closely with Operations Analyst to ensure costs are budgeted, forecasted and accurate
Works closely with local Quality Manager, Customer Service and Logistics Manager and Territory Manager to ensure efficient management of production costs, inventories, and to optimize customer quality needs
Safety leadership and continued development of Safety Culture
Meeting annual financial and production targets
Responsible for the Health and Safety Improvement Plan
Effective leadership and engagement of all personnel at the site
Optimization of operational cost and achievement of annual objectives
Develop and continually improve effective Stakeholder/Community relations
Ensure total site compliance with all safety and environmental legislation, regulations and company policies
Detailed monthly operations forecast
Monthly operation EBITs
Implementation of the ROCK modules, Best Practices, and Manufacturing Basics
P2P efficiency and performance
Capital Planning

Education & Work Experience:
An undergraduate degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience
A Masters in Business Administration is an asset.
A minimum of 10 years relevant experience, not necessarily in the aggregates of construction industry.
