Task description and requirements

EHN Canada is the country’s largest provider of private mental health and addiction services, with inpatient operations in most provinces and an in-person and virtual outpatient programs. It has tripled in size over the past four years as it adds new locations and programs. It now helps over 2000 patients and their families each year and works with governments and employers across Canada.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to design, develop, implement, and monitor EHN Canada’s training and development programs. Reporting to the Head of HR, the L&D Specialist will collaborate with other members of the HR team to align EHN Canada’s training with our clinical development programs.

Responsibilities 
  • Design best-in-class courses, training materials and identify delivery methods.
  • Develop and update training materials, including e-learning courses, presentations, and training manuals.
  • Deliver and facilitate various types of in-class and web-based training sessions, including enhancement of new hire orientation, enhanced home and community best practice learnings monthly refresher training, and other soft skills training, leading EHN Leadership Academy.
  • Manage the learning management system (LMS via ADP Workforce Now) and other educational technology tools, ensuring seamless access to training materials and tracking employee progress and performance.
  • Source and manage vendor relationships with external education partners like CTRI (Crisis & Trauma Resources Institute and CCDI (Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion)
  • Report on training completion and generating post-training reports to capture the effectiveness and ROI of learning programs
  • You will collaborate with SMEs to create content ensuring learning objectives and outcomes are aligned with role-specific competencies and EHN Canada standards for quality of care.
  • You will foster a strong partnership with clinical, professional practice leaders, and other healthcare subject matter experts.

Requirements 
  • Ability to develop engaging and relevant content that aligns with diverse learning needs and objectives
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Extremely proficient in eLearning software and Learning Management Systems
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Skills and Experience 
  • 3 years of experience in the development and delivery of adult learning and education programs, including the assessment of adult learning content
  • Degree in Human Resources or Education or related discipline
  • Completion of/or working towards completion of an adult education certificate program
  • CTDP or be a CTP certification is an asset
  • Proficiency in French is an asset
