MEASUREMENT-BASED CARE COORDINATOR, 


EHN Canada is seeking a measurement-based care (MBC) coordinator to make customized treatment plan recommendations based on an already established framework designed to maximize positive outcomes for our patients. Specifically, the MBC coordinator will routinely monitor outcomes for each patient across all programs in our network to determine if they would benefit from a higher degree of care, more specialized programming, etc. Recommendations are then made by the MBC Coordinator to each patient's care team to inform next steps.   

This is a unique opportunity to not only gain valuable skills in clinical research, but to apply those skills to patient care to maximize the odds of long-term success. This position requires a time commitment of approximately 21 hours per week. However, hours/days may be flexible.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Routinely monitor patient outcomes throughout treatment  
  • Interpret results of standardized assessments used to monitor treatment progress 
  • Determine whether patients need changes to their care plan based on assessments 
  • Makes informed treatment recommendations 
  • Liaise with research team, clinicians, and referents 
  • Other duties as assigned
     
    Qualifications: 
  • Completion of a university degree in psychology or another health-related discipline 
  • Completion of upper-level coursework in research methods 
  • Two years of prior research experience  
  • Applied clinical research experience if preferred, but not necessary 
  • Trauma-informed training and experience is an asset 
  • Some prior knowledge of addictions, mental health and the 12-step process

  • Demonstrates excellent critical thinking, communication, facilitation and decision-making skills 
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the team 
  • Must be able to read and write and communicate verbally and in writing. 
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others. 
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly excel 
  • Must be proficient with other statistical software (SPSS, R) 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with other staff, patients and supervisor 
  • Shows enthusiasm and a desire to learn
