About The Job

Our partner is a company that has been operating in the agri-food sector since 1820. They are recognised as a Quebec flagship in their category. We are currently looking for a new Process Engineer and a CPI to join our team of over 300 employees at the plant. The role of the Process Engineer is to understand, coordinate and direct a number of tasks relating to manufacturing or food processing processes. To do this, you will work closely with employees, supervisors and managers. You will also be called on to evaluate and plan budgets for projects and supervise consultants in carrying them out.

Your Responsibilities



Know and comply at all times with quality and food safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations and company policies;
Provide key technical input for capital projects;
Design and specify process equipment and installations;
Sizing and selection of process equipment (valves, pumps, exchangers, etc.);
Leading and supporting technical improvement initiatives;
Support and provide technical expertise on processes;
Provide technical expertise and systems knowledge in the development of new products or the improvement of existing products;
Identify, develop, lead and execute equipment and system improvements that deliver financial and performance benefits;
Prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), write component specifications;
Attend meetings, meet customers and present technical information;
Prepare engineering files as well as models, drawings, sketches, plans and specifications;
Support the quality control and assurance programmes and the R&D department;
Monitor project milestones, documentation, costs and quality objectives.

Our Requirements



Possess a diploma related to the position in an engineering field (BAC) in food, chemical or related engineering;
Engineer with at least 3 years' experience and member of the Order (OIQ). 
CPI with one year's relevant experience (food or pharmaceutical);
Experience in project management;
Good written and oral communication skills;
Ability to learn quickly and work independently;
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills;
Good analytical skills; 
Sense of initiative and urgency;
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines;
Ability to work as part of a team;
High level of knowledge of AutoCad and Microsoft Office;
Bilingual (French and English)
