About Supply Ontario: Supply Ontario is a centralized procurement agency formed in 2020, aiming to modernize procurement and strengthen supply chain management across the public sector, ensuring high-quality, timely, reliable products at the best value.

Role Overview: The Enterprise Architect manages tasks and techniques to liaise among stakeholders, understand the structure, policies, and operations of Supply Ontario, and recommend technical/business solutions to achieve organizational goals. As the lead for the Technology Review Board (TRB), you will integrate emerging technologies into Supply Ontario.

Must Haves:

  • Experience in IT governance
  • Design and development of SaaS solutions
  • Government experience
  • Integration with PaaS and SaaS
  • Experience with Azure
  • 10+ years in IT, 5+ years as a technical architect
Key Responsibilities:

Technology Review Board (TRB) Leadership:

  • Lead TRB committee, align projects with strategic goals
  • Provide project approvals and collaborate on governance/architecture
  • Author architectural documentation
  • Inform stakeholders about technical issues and recommendations
  • Ensure quality, security, and compliance
Architectural Leadership:

  • Own technology and architecture blueprint
  • Develop technology strategies and roadmaps
  • Analyze business requirements and generate technical specifications
  • Ensure solutions align with architectural design
  • Implement and support solutions using industry best practices
IT Governance Support:

  • Refine IT Governance Framework and Processes
  • Develop architecture templates and performance metrics
  • Identify and implement reusable assets and standards
  • Ensure correct application of technical strategies, policies, and standards
Stakeholder Management and Communication:

  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders
  • Present to IT Governance Committee and senior leadership
  • Act as a bridge between technical and business audiences
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to project teams
General Skills:

  • Project management

  • Advanced understanding of enterprise architecture
  • Proficiency in cloud computing and data technologies
Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related fields
  • 10+ years in IT, with 5+ years in technical architecture
  • Managing SaaS vendors
  • Integration practices and methods
  • CRM and ERP systems
  • Architecting solutions using Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
  • Certifications: Microsoft, MS Azure, TOGAF, AWS Cloud, etc.
  • Programming languages: JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, SQL, .NET, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, C++, etc.
