Job Posting: Senior Business Analyst

Overview

The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and primary stakeholders from various business lines to ensure alignment in gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements. Additionally, this role involves collaboration with Health Application Services Technical Strategists and support teams to manage requirements for solution procurement, system impact identification, current state documentation, and gap analysis. The analyst will also develop functional design documents related to migration and data archiving.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration: Work with various business lines and technical teams to align business and IT requirements.
  • Documentation: Review existing business requirements and technical documentation. Develop and maintain detailed process and solution documentation, including workflows, patient journeys, user guides, and training materials.
  • Facilitation: Design and lead facilitation sessions to validate existing requirements and gather new business and IT requirements.
  • Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis to support the planning, management, and progression of technical workstreams within the CIS project. Recommend and implement solutions to achieve objectives.
  • Implementation: Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of clinical standardization projects, including stakeholder communication plans.
Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a similar discipline. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Senior Business Analyst with responsibilities in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, and detailed design. At least 5 years of experience in healthcare, focusing on health information systems, standards, technology, and/or software.
  • Availability: Must be available to start work on or about the specified date in the SOW.
  • Language: English is required; French is an asset.
Deliverables

  • Detailed review of existing business requirements and current state documentation.
  • Development and refinement of data requirements and standards with technical experts.
  • Design and facilitation of sessions to validate existing requirements and collect new ones, including gap analysis.
  • Creation and maintenance of detailed documentation for seamless technology adoption.
  • Comprehensive analysis and support for planning and managing technical workstreams.
Desired Skills and Experience

  • Senior Business Analyst Experience: Minimum of 3 years in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, and documentation.
  • Facilitation Skills: Leading workshops to identify and articulate business and system requirements, developing user stories or use cases.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to target communications to specific audiences.
  • Self-Direction: High level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and confidence in engaging with team members and stakeholders.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to support multiple teams and project streams simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams).
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare areas such as Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Surgical programs, Emergency Department, Cardiac Diagnostics, Nursing, Therapeutics, or Health Information Management.
  • Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in both French and English is strongly preferred.
  • Local Experience: Experience with New Brunswick's technology or healthcare environments is an asset.
