Task description and requirements
NOTE: HYBRID work model, 2-4 days in office/month, office located in Mississauga, Ontario
Contract: 6 months, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week (Strong possibility for extension)
Work Experience: 7+ years Senior IT Project Manager, PMP, Planview, Enterprise Application Development Projects, Salesforce, MS Dynamics, complex requirements gathering, RPF, vendor selection, vendor management, SAFe, Agile
Industry: Healthcare Domain
DESCRIPTION:
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Track project costs using Planview
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Manage the overall relationship to ensure the success of the program (projects and products).
- Communicate and lead others in planning, organizing, and coordinating work to ensure successful execution and contract commitments
- Drive alignment and forward progress across multiple projects and customers, keeping all key stakeholders informed
- Create executive summaries and customer-facing summaries
- Source resources, manage and optimize delivery capacity
- Work with the finance team to oversee the financial aspects of projects.
- Issue / Risk Management: Anticipates and identifies
- Risks and Issues that may impact implementation and develops and implements mitigation and corrective actions.
- Ensures projects remains focused on key objectives and goals.
- Develop and manage expectations ensuring all applicable functional areas
- Ensure proper change management procedures are followed to ensure scope is managed and additional work is captured
REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills - mandatory
- 7-10+ years as a Senior IT Project Manager, Enterprise Application Development projects
- Manage 5-10+ project resources, 3rd party vendors, vendor management
- Strong Planview experience – budget, project costs – an asset
- Experience in Salesforce or MS Dynamics application development projects
- Experience with gathering and managing complex business requirements
- End-to-end RPF experience
- Vendor selection from RFP
- Managing the 3rd party vendor selected and internal development team from implementation to production
- PMP or other project management certification – an asset
- Experience managing enterprise application development projects following Agile methodology
- SAFe certification – an asset
- Healthcare industry experience – an asset
