Overview: The Procurement Manager will implement procurement strategies in collaboration with Category Managers and Business leaders locally. They manage the procurement of goods and services, including contract implementation, category strategy execution, and supplier performance communication. They lead local supplier procurement efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement of goods and services according to category strategy and policies.
  • Act as the liaison between country Category Management and operations.
  • Drive savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements in line with regional and global strategies.
  • Identify savings opportunities and initiate projects.
  • Negotiate local volumes, processes, quality levels, and prices with Category Management.
Tasks:

  • Identify local saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with global & local procurement policies and procedures.
  • Support the RFx process locally as defined by category strategy.
  • Align internal decision-makers through focused communication.
  • Approve local purchase orders within authorized limits.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, ethical standards, and codes of conduct.
  • Execute category strategy and eliminate compliance issues.
  • Measure performance through KPIs and report savings.
  • Track achieved results.
Dimensions:

  • External annual spend of $80M to $100M.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • University Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience and Skill Set:

  • Minimum 5 years in procurement with exposure to supply chain management, strategic sourcing, and optimal procurement processes.
  • Proven performance in cross-functional teams.
Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills, including SAP.
  • Understanding of LafargeHolcim product lines from a procurement perspective.
Leadership & Managerial Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
  • Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build relationships.
  • Superior negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability in data analysis and problem-solving.
Health and Safety:

  • A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required.
