Position Overview

This new role is an entry role to join our Sales effort for our Edmonton and Northern Alberta market. As a key person within the overall Sales Leadership team, this role is an exciting way to join the Lafarge New Graduate program. When hired into this position, the successful candidate will also be enrolled in Lafarge’s New Grad program, which is a 24-month development program designed for individuals to gain exposure to new career paths within Lafarge.

This is a developmental role and an opportunity to gain widespread exposure within our business with the ultimate goal of building a long-term career with Lafarge. You will have the opportunity to work with the Sales Managers and key Sales professionals of all product lines in NAB, help develop our ability to manage our portfolio, work with new technology and reporting tools, and be part of One-Lafarge project initiatives.

This assignment is designed to allow you to explore and discover a variety of possible career paths across Lafarge, while accelerating your own personal growth, network and development. Successful participants from this program will transition into more permanent opportunities that capitalize their full potential.

Role and Outcomes; 



Attend the local area Marketing Meeting bi-weekly
Support Committee Chair to present monthly progress updates to NAB SVP and Market GM’s.
Lead the redevelopment of the tools for this group with the Chairperson and committee members based on outcomes that work for this Committee but also the GMs and SVP for the market.
Increase the use of Sales Force as part of the everyday toolkit for forward looking opportunities and understanding market position.
Build a modern inventory of building activity indicators for NAB and a way to relate it to this market's success rate by product line and overall.
Develop tools to ensure the focus on projects and potential building activity that is longer term and farther out. This could include the use of recent AI based digital tools as an example.
Coordinate One-Lafarge proposals and presentations with Lead Sales People
Adhoc projects from SVP and GM group.


Team and Structure; 



Reporting to the current Sponsor Manager for the Marketing Committee ( as appointed by NAB SVP ) and will reside with that Managers specific Sales Team.
Attends, coordinates, and supports the current Committee Chair ( as appointed by NAB SVP ) in the bi-weekly committee meetings. This includes any pre-meetings required with the Chair to ensure productivity and pace.
Laises with several teams as Resources; Canada Sales Force team, Local Sales Coordinators for all product lines regarding process and underlying data quality, RMX Performance for support / guidance regarding process and toolkit.


Education

Qualification Profile:



Recent graduate from a Bachelor of Commerce Program or Bachelor of Engineering or Technology Program (Civil/Structural preferred)


Experience & Skill Set



Demonstrated leadership potential
Self-starter / Problem solver / Self-disciplined
Excellent interpersonal, organization, communication and computer skills
The ability to work both collaboratively in teams and the drive and passion to individually contribute to great outcomes
Natural curiosity and passion for analytics and process improvement
Prior co-op or work experience in the industry is considered an asset
