Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead critical projects within our financial services sector. This role involves overseeing project teams, including internal and external partners, to ensure alignment with project goals and effective execution of business initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and business analysis within the financial services or wealth management industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Lead project teams to ensure alignment with project goals, maintaining rigorous project documentation and overseeing project scope and change requests.
  • Research and Analysis: Lead research and analysis projects to enhance the efficiency of the business unit, focusing on product, service, and workflow improvements.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve project-related issues, maintaining project momentum and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Business Process Development: Assist in the development of new business processes from concept through implementation, including information gathering, model development, and process redesign.
  • Requirements Management: Elicit, document, and verify business, systems, and functional requirements, ensuring they accurately reflect business needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external partners, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are implemented correctly and projects are delivered successfully.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all processes and materials developed comply with internal standards and external regulations, providing guidance on best practices in information systems.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a related field, or a University certificate/undergraduate diploma with significant relevant experience.
  • Certifications: Canadian Securities Course (CSC), CBAP, PMP, CSM, or CSPO designations are assets.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management experience in financial services or wealth management is mandatory. Additional experience in technology or operations roles is preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational and planning skills, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and Jira. Strong communication skills in English are essential.
