Task description and requirements

Xolar Inc. is a full service turnkey platform for transitioning both residential and business clients to solar energy. We support our clients with a done-for-you approach, taking them from project design all the way to construction.

About the role

We are looking to hire a technically trained individual to join our team and take on the role of being a site inspector. In this role, you will be responsible for the critical task of visiting sites and documenting key site details and taking measurements that allow our engineers to make an accurate system design.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Site inspection

- Requires climbing a ladder & working safely on the roof.

- Review project scope & record all relevant site details

- Take on-site measurements, and document site details.

- Submit AutoCAD site drawing & site checklist to Engineering team.

- Interact with clients, municipal offices to obtain site plans as needed.

Draft site layouts

- Take accurate site measurements & convert the site onto AutoCAD

- Provide slope, measurements, and panel layout based on panel dimensions

- Provide feedback when required when the system cannot fit as proposed.

Administrative

- Professional demeanor & on time for appointments.

- Submit monthly invoices for all inspections completed.

- Work directly with project managers and engineers to produce accurate site designs.

Qualifications:

- Formal training or significant experience in the construction / engineering / electrical field

- Proficiency in using AutoCAD.

- Must own your own vehicle & valid drivers license.

- Strong written & verbal communication in English.

- Own Ladder

- Working at heights certification

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $25.35-$27.43 per hour
