What will your responsibilities be?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Mechanical Engineering Technician's role is to collaborate with project managers and the various engineering teams. He or she is also responsible for 3D modeling and design.Plan, control and coordinate the scope, budget and schedule of research and development projects

  • Work closely with project managers and a multidisciplinary technical team (automation, IT, electrical, etc.)
  • Model and / or assemble (3D) mechanical components Produce manufacturing drawings
  • Produce manufacturing ranges
  • Participate in the development and mechanical design
  • Research new components and new operating principles
  • Be called upon to work at the Planiform innovation center in Terrebonne for the research and development of highly technological products
  • Without being limited to it; assist engineers in product development and improvement
  • Support engineering by making corrections and / or modifications to 3D / Plans
  • Occasionally carry out start-ups and/or commissioning of customer systems.
  • All other related tasks that may help the advancement of the projects entrusted to it
What we are looking for:

  • DEC in mechanical engineering OR any relevant field of study
  • 2 to 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling software
  • Autonomy
  • Skill in technical drawing
  • Ability to communicate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Bilingual, English and French, to be able to communicate with internal and external suppliers and customers located outside Quebec
  • Knowledge of mechanical system (an asset)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Oral and written bilingualism (an asset)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (as asset)
  • Be a cheerful person!
