What will your responsibilities be?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Automation Technician provides support and services to develop production methods, facilities and systems.

  • Propose and collaborate in the development of new concepts, projects and control strategies
  • Participated in the design, construction and commissioning of engineering projects
  • Perform the commissioning of systems and act as a resource person when required
  • Coordinate resources (installers, suppliers, etc.) to complete assigned projects
  • Perform and update drawings and documentation
  • Check/configure control panels
  • Support production
  • Provide support to customers with respect to the systems delivered
  • Parameterize the drives and the components of the communication protocols
  • Diagnose equipment failures and offer optimal solutions and/or interventions
  • Occasionally carry out start-ups and/or commissioning of customer systems.
  • All other related tasks that can help the progress of the projects entrusted to the employee
What we are looking for:

  • Technician in automated production engineering or DEC in automation and control or in computer or industrial electrical systems or electrical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Good knowledge of PLC/HMI systems (Allen Bradley an asset)
  • Knowledge of databases an asset
  • Bilingual, English and French, to be able to communicate with internal and external suppliers and customers located outside Quebec
  • Be passionate and innovative
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Have experience in a manufacturing environment (essential
  • Ability to communicate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems (an asset)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Be a cheerful person!
