Position: Freelance Commerce Cloud Backend Developer

Project Duration: 12 months (Starting in August)


Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Commerce Cloud Backend Developer to join our team for a 12-month project starting in August. The project involves building out the backend for an auction site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP Commerce Cloud.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement backend solutions for the car auction site using SAP Commerce Cloud.

• Collaborate with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to integrate backend functionalities seamlessly.

• Develop and maintain APIs for integration with third-party systems and services.

• Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of the backend systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any backend issues or bugs.

• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for the backend architecture and codebase.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.



Required Skills and Experience:



• SAP Commerce Cloud (SAP Hybris): Extensive experience in developing and customizing the backend.

• Java and Spring Framework: Strong proficiency in Java programming and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring MVC.

• Database Management: Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM tools (e.g., Hibernate).

• APIs and Integration: Proficient in developing and integrating RESTful APIs and web services.

• Microservices Architecture: Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Version Control Systems: Proficiency with Git and GitHub or Bitbucket for version control.

• CI/CD: Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
