Description: About this opportunity:
The Air & Ground Transportation Department is recruiting a Contract Senior Aviation Advisor. Overall responsibilities include supporting all aspects of travel (charter air, bus & helicopters) to our field locations, day to day vendor management supporting the safe and efficient operations of aircraft. Support financial and budgeting aspects of owned aircraft, charter and rotary carriers, including reporting and dashboard management.
We are looking for a candidate who is analytical, technology driven, self-motivated and provides a high level of customer service to internal/external clients and partners.
Responsibilities:
* Support travel to site locations, including booking scheduled corporate flights, ad-hoc charters, helicopters and busing as required.
* Monitor and track aircraft utilization, workforce growth and/or reduction to optimize the use of corporate aircraft fleet.
* Analyze and network plan to ensure efficient flight schedules are in place that support all asset areas.
* Assist in the development of short and long-range aviation strategies to meet business requirements in alignment with priorities, inclusive of cost recovery strategies.
* Support the management of day-to-day service & relationships with external vendors relating to Air & Ground Transportation including updating them with internal processes and best practices to provide a high level of service and conduct business on our behalf efficiently, safely and cost effectively.
* Support yearly budget cycle for all aspects of Aviation, including owned, charter and helicopter flights.
* Support all aspects of invoicing related to owned aircraft, charter and helicopters, Aerodrome fees, flight sharing and cost allocations.
* Ensure adherence to the Travel Standard and support the overall Air & Ground Transportation Strategy.
* Work and collaborate with key stakeholders such as Health & Safety, Security and Senior Leadership companywide to ensure continuous improvement, as well as support the Emergency Response Plan (24/7 on call support).
* Assist in management of internal processes and identify and implement process improvements.
* Maintain and update internal travel website as required.
* Ensure travel-related standards, practices, guidelines, playbooks, and associated documents are updated as required.
* Manage Aviation reporting (monthly, quarterly & annual) utilizing Power BI Dashboard, including enhancements and continuous improvements initiatives with the Data Analytics team.
Qualifications:
* Post-secondary diploma in Aviation or Travel & Tourism.
* Advanced Excel and Word skills including experience with database systems
* Knowledge of INNFinity (Enroute) or Logistics and/or Camp Reservations booking system is an asset
* Advanced Power BI knowledge
* Aviation and Transportation expertise; knowledge of Aviation and Transportation regulations
* Planning and forecasting skills necessary to efficiently optimize flight and bus schedules
* Airline network planning an asset
* Project Management background an asset
* Understanding of budgeting, cost control, SAP system including invoicing and reporting
* Organized and keen attention to detail which includes the ability to maintain a large volume of information accurately, in a format which can be adjusted to meet changing reporting requirements
* Ability to manage confidential information professionally and with discretion
* Strong interpersonal skills with proven success at building constructive working relationships with internal and external clients and vendors
