Task description and requirements
- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain scalable and secure data management systems.
- Facilitate the democratization of data by creating user-friendly dashboards and interfaces that allow clinical and non-technical employees to access data in a secure and safe manner.
- Ensure seamless integration across key platforms like Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, Azure, Kipu, Salesforce, Hubspot, Netsuite, ADP, and Genesys.
- Collaborate closely with the Reporting and Analytics team to develop and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Act as a liaison between IT, Reporting and Analytics, and other departments, aligning data strategies and implementations while ensuring PHI confidentiality.
- Explore new data solutions like Snowflake and Fivetran, evaluating their utility for enhancing our secure data infrastructure.
- Assist stakeholders with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Enforce robust data privacy and compliance protocols in alignment with relevant healthcare laws (PHIPA, PIPEDA, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with data platforms such as Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, Azure, Kipu, Salesforce, Hubspot, Netsuite, ADP, and Genesys.
- Experience in facilitating data access for non-technical users while maintaining strict data privacy controls.
- Strong scripting and programming skills, particularly in languages like Python, Java, Scala.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations, particularly in the healthcare sector.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
