Task description and requirements

Senior Business Analyst

Job Description: The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements. They will also collaborate with Health Application Services Technical Strategists and support teams to identify requirements for procurement, system impact, current state documentation, and gap analysis. This role involves both steady state and project-based efforts, with occasional after-hours work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze existing business requirements and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to develop and refine data requirements and standards.
  • Design and facilitate sessions to validate and gather new business and IT requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed process and solution documentation.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis to support planning and progression of technical workstreams.
  • Ensure smooth delivery and implementation of clinical standardization projects with effective stakeholder communication.
Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Healthcare focusing on health information systems, standards, and technology.
    • Availability to start on specified date.
    • Resume limited to 5 pages focusing on Scored Requirements and Deliverables.
  • Desired:
    • 3+ years of experience in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, and business process analysis.
    • Proven facilitation skills and experience in leading workshops.
    • Experience in producing business analysis documentation.
    • Strong communication skills tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
    • Experience in multitasking across multiple project streams.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite.
    • Familiarity with areas of healthcare such as Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, etc.
    • Bilingual in French and English preferred.
    • Experience in New Brunswick's technology or healthcare environments is a plus.
