Role Overview: The Mosport Site Lead (MSL) is responsible for managing Excess Soil projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and project progress. Key responsibilities include training new employees, enforcing requirements, tracking project status, and reporting to the Senior Manager of Excess Soils - GTA & SW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Coordinate excess soil imports and manage project communication.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S and environmental guidelines.
  • Track project costs and manage contractor resources.
  • Implement operational controls to prevent hazards and environmental impacts.
  • Oversee site visitor management and report on project status.
  • Train new hires and conduct safety meetings.
Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or engineering technology, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of construction, waste management, and environmental regulations is an asset.
  • Strong customer focus, problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Strong computer and systems skills.
Work Environment:

  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (~80%).
  • Frequent travel among project sites within the sub-market area.
Additional Information:

  • Reports to Senior Manager - Excess Soil GTA & SW.
  • Supervises 2+ Excess Soil Field Technicians.
  • Ensures environmental compliance and effective project administration.
