Task description and requirements
- Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions.
- Balance verifications, pipette and syringe utilization.
- Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
- Operate instruments.
- With guidance from senior staff perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Perform basic analysis.
- Report results.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Technical Diploma/degree in Science or equivalent lab experience is required
- Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with lab processes
- Experience using volumetric devices
- Experience using GC an asset
- Fluent in English, both oral and written communication
- Intermediate Computer Skills
- Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment
