Task description and requirements

Project Description: Our global client, based in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Senior Manager for the role of SAP S4HANA Functional Lead, specializing in Procure to Pay (P2P). This role involves evolving the P2P solution and leading a team of SAP professionals to ensure optimal solution delivery and alignment with business strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP functional solution design and delivery.
  • At least 3 years in a senior lead role, managing or leading a team of SAP professionals.
  • Hands-on functional experience with SAP applications/modules: S/4HANA, MM, IM.
  • Proven leadership skills with a history of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience in SAP delivery planning, including milestone planning, resource assignment, and securing budgets.
  • Strong strategic thinking and flexibility in implementing solutions in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior leaders.
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with the ability to travel between the US and Canada.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a team of functional analysts and architects to design and implement SAP solutions for the Procure to Pay business function.
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to align technology with business strategies and needs.
  • Develop SAP roadmaps, strategies, and budgets to support business goals.
  • Oversee third-party providers to ensure SAP solutions meet business requirements and enhance the user experience.
  • Ensure the integrity of solutions through rigorous testing and quality assurance.
  • Prioritize and manage demand items in the P2P space.
  • Be accountable for the overall SAP solution delivery, including both planning and execution.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop team members.
