Job Description

Our client is looking for Business Systems Analyst. Mostly remote mandate with ad-hoc travel in New Brunskwick.

Start date: May 21st, 2024

End date: November 22nd, 2024 (potential renewal)

Work schedule: 7.5 hours per day

Background

Our client is modernizing their Cyber Security Program to improve alignment with corporate strategy and risk management. This effort will transform client’s current Cyber Security Program in a collaborative effort with Finance & Treasury Board. A roadmap and associated workplans will be introduced to target improvements while embracing incremental, agile delivery.

Program definition and implementation roadmap for an Enterprise Cyber Security Program.

Increased transparency of IT security risk level and cyber security posture through KPI/KRI dashboards

Better documentation of SOP’s, roles & responsibilities

Evolution of program governance – steering committees, budgetary approvals, executive guidance, etc.

Services Sought

The client requires a Senior Business Analyst to facilitate the creation of processes, policies and requirements documentation in support of client’s Cyber Security Program. This person will work with Information Security leadership, stakeholders and client technology services team members to research business and system needs and support the clear definition and achievement of the desired outcomes.

The Language of Work is English.

Requirement



University Degree in either Business Administration or Information Technology or
An equivalent combination of a College diploma (related to Business Administration and/or IT) and experience may also be considered.
5 years Experience as a senior business analyst working in Information Technology projects with a focus on Information Security conducting requirements elicitation & business system process documentation for IT applications in both agile and waterfall project modes.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
5 years Demonstrated experience performing security analysis for complex business transformation initiatives in a multi-entity organizational environment
5 years Demonstrated experience in effective interactive communication and presentation skills including but limited to requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, and requirements prioritization.
5 years Demonstrated experience analyzing, documenting and diagramming operational processes and workflows, developing operational procedures, standards, and/or policies to achieve identified business outcomes, including those related to network and IT infrastructure security.
3 years Experience working on Identity & Access Management technologies, with preference for experience with Privileged Access Management tools and solutions.
3 years Experience with Cyber Security program design and implementation and/or execution of the program.3 years Demonstrated experience in prioritization of assigned activities or tasks.
3 years Demonstrated experience with jurisdictional reviews. Provide details on the engagement approach, relationship management and value of the exercise experiences.
Current certification from a recognized professional business analysis association, such as PMI-PBA, IIBA-CBAP.
Current certification from a recognized information security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA.

Deliverables



Engage with key stakeholders to identify objectives and goals of the Cyber Security Program; 
Gather and document business requirements of the security program by performing elicitation and coordination tasks with internal and external stakeholders; 
Review existing security governance and program documentation, and capture undocumented processes, developing a picture of current state, including maturity levels across various business capabilities; 
Help to establish a security governance framework which will ensure ongoing oversight and management of the security program; 
Review security policies, standards and procedures, evaluating in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements; 
Help define and improve information security KPI’s and KRI’s to measure the effectiveness of the security program; 
Facilitate information visualization mechanisms (dashboards, reports, etc.) allowing effective communication of security status and trending to executive management; 
Provide business analysis capabilities for high-profile projects such as the procurement and implementation of a Privileged Access Management (PAM) suite; 
Assist with tasks associated to the adoption and implementation of a Privileged Access Management (PAM) suite to modernize how SNB manages privileged credentials and enhanced permission roles; 
Other work packages, tasks and duties as assigned. 

Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
